In 1877, the Mayfield Plank Road was constructed allowing a steady stream of people and goods to easily travel from eastern farms to markets found at Doan�s Corners in Cleveland, Ohio. As this part of Euclid Township grew, the area became Euclidville Village, later changed to Lyndhurst Village in 1920. This book contains narrative from the 1900s - 1970s. I was born in the 70s and lived in Lyndhurst through the mid 90s. Very disappointed to not see/read how the neighborhood has changed over the last 40 years. This book would be ideal for someone who grew up prior to the 1970s. After reconnecting with a childhood friend from Lyndhurst, I found out about this book. If you grew up in Lyndhurst you will find it interesting and nostalgic. I wish there were more street level photos from the 50's and 60's. most are aerial photography....still it was worth it!
